Progressive Psychedelic Trance

Mudstompin Munkee’s natural flair for diversity sets her apart from the mass of psychedelic artists.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, she left her home in 2000, leaving her classical background to explore other musical arenas.
Time spent in Australia and South Africa led to an evolution in her appreciation of multi-genre sounds from big band jazz and bouncing brass to crazy Psychedelic Trance and dusty stomping grounds.
Her love for the emerging electronic sub-genres saw a move to the UK in 2006 for a more complete musical immersion and guest appearances on radio soon took off, creating great success opportunities for Mudstompin Munkee who now hosts her own radio show on Bassport FM.
Her subsequent DJ sets sparked much interest across the UK and Europe, performing at events and festivals like Freedom Festival in Portugal and the UK’s own Noisily Festival.
An experimental collaboration with live drummer extraordinaire, Andy Afrogalactic, enticed an assimilation of electronic sounds, which demonstrated her growing urge to push the boundaries.
This led to another more recent collaborative project with Free-Spirit Records resident FlibbertiGibbet, to successfully form Amaluna – a Psy-Sisters duo with a powerful energy behind the decks.
With an ear for filthy frequencies, funky melodies, and sexy psychedelic bass lines, Miss Munkee remains undefined by genre, ever adaptive to the pulse of the audience; inspired by the Stomp!
